1. DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE

• General Medicine

• Gastroenterology

Our Gastroenterologists are dedicated to the diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon), pancreas and liver. We specialize in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, reflux disease, peptic ulcers, celiac disease, hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, biliary stones, strictures and motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

• Pneumology

Our Pneumology physicians provide preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with lung diseases such as bronchial asthma, emphysema, acute and chronic pulmonary emboli, lung cancer, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis and pulmonary vascular disease. They also provide care for chest wall injuries in trauma patients, lung contusions and pulmonary embolisms.

• Nephrology

The Nephrology unit at Nini Hospital cares for congenital and acquired kidney disease including patients with renal failure. Our renal dialysis center offers chronic renal dialysis and renal replacement therapy. Our team of highly trained professionals performs AV Fistula, AV Grafts, Perm catheter, temporary femoral or jugular access for patients requiring various mode of dialysis. Our center also offers treatment for general nephrology, hypertensive and diabetic kidney diseases as well as obstructive kidney diseases.

• Rheumatology

Rheumatologists specialize in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a broad range of rheumatological and inflammatory conditions which affect muscles, joints and connective tissues. Conditions managed by the Rheumatology department include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, and rheumatic connective tissue disorders.

• Neurology

Utilizing state of the art equipment, our Department of Neurology offers complete care and treatment for patients with nerves and nervous system complications. Comprehensive evaluations are used to assess and treat the functions of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, myoneural junction and muscles.

• Infectious Diseases

The Department of Infectious Diseases at Nini Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of viral, fungal and bacterial infections. We offer general infectious disease consultations and inpatient infectious disease services. The Infectious Disease Committee is dedicated to the control, follow up and prevention of nosocomial infections by ensuring good hygiene practices, pathogen surveillance, hospital epidemiology and infection control.

• Hemato-oncology

The Hemato-oncology department offers diagnosis and treatment for a wide spectrum of blood disorders and diseases. A team of highly competent hematologists, hematopathologists and hemato-oncologists provide experienced management of a wide range of hematological disorders including leukemia, myeloma, and lymphoma, as well as regenerative medicine, haemostasis, thrombosis, transplantation and lymphoproliferative disorders.

2. DEPARTMENT OF ANESTHESIOLOGY

The Department of Anesthesiology provides state of the art care with around the clock physician rotation. 4. CARDIOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Our cardiology department offers round-the-clock, seven days a week inpatient services, and outpatient consultative services including a full range of cardiology imaging methods, individualized treatment plans and mobile technology to care for patients with heart disease.

Cardiology Department services include:

Stress Test to determine how well the heart handles increased work while assessing the heart’s rhythm through exercise. Prior to cardiologist’s evaluation, the test is administered in a controlled environment where nursing staff performs an electrocardiogram and monitors the patient’s blood pressure and heart rate.
Holter Monitoring determines how the heart responds to normal activity. The monitor results aid in prescribing a new heart medicine and may be used after a heart attack to diagnose heart rhythm problems.

• Cardiothoracic Surgery

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

Nini Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized adult medical and surgical care facility for patients who need continuous monitoring, intensive nursing care, and complex respiratory support. 5. DEPARTMENT OF GYNECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS

The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) offers women personalized and comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal planning, pregnancy monitoring and post-partum care, as well as diverse medical and surgical approaches.

• Nursery

Our nursery is a supportive family-focused environment with an aim to provide mothers with the support and education needed to care for their newborn baby. A team of pediatricians, who are on call 24 hours a day, alongside the registered nurses experienced in pediatric care are dedicated to helping new mothers with their infants.

• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) treats infants as young as 23 weeks of gestational age at birth. Neonatologists and specialized nurses provide on-site and around the clock evaluation and treatment for newborns with respiratory disease, congenital malformations, neonatal infections, metabolic disorders and further simple and complex maturity conditions.

Our NICU is dedicated to superior medical and developmental care of newborns, as well as communication and support for parents.

6. DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS

The Pediatric Department at Nini Hospital is committed to the well-being of children from 1 month to 15 years of age. Our devoted staff of physicians and nurses provides individualized attention and support to patients and their families. The department offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical services to ensure that children have excellent care during their hospital stay and a smooth transition back home.
