Patient Stay And Care
We are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that your stay with us is as easy and stress free as possible. From the moment you enter our hospital and until you leave, we will work closely with you and your family to make sure you get the best quality of care.
1. Your admission
Whether you are admitted for a scheduled procedure, coming to have a baby, arriving to the emergency department, or undergoing a simple test, our admission agents will do their best to ensure your admission within the briefest time possible.
Five admitting and billing offices are available:
- The main admissions office is located on the ground floor for pre – scheduled surgeries, therapies and ambulatory services.
Opening hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm; Saturday 7:00am-1:00 pm
- Out-patient offices are located on the ground floor for Laboratory and Medical Imaging services.
Opening hours: Monday- Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm; Saturday 7:00 am-1:00 pm
- Emergency department admitting office is located on the basement floor for medical emergencies and after-hours laboratory and radiology tests.
Opening hours: 7 days/week, 24 hours a day

2. Your stay
- Upon arrival to the room you will receive an identification bracelet. The bracelet is one of the ways that we identify you and make sure you are receiving the proper medications and treatments.
- Our beds and washrooms are equipped with a call system which enables you to call for help whenever you need it.
- A white message board facing the bed of every patient will be updated at every shift change. This way you have easy access to your nurse’s name, your expected discharge date and other useful information.
- Two selections of meals are provided daily and if medically needed, special diets are prepared per physicians’ orders. Meals are served as follows:
Breakfast: 7 AM to 8:30 AM
Lunch : 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM
Dinner : 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
3. Your care team
During your stay with us, a team of healthcare professionals will work with you to ensure you receive the best possible care.
- Specialized treating and consulting doctors will make the decisions concerning you treatment.
- Qualified and highly trained nurses will check on you regularly, give you medication and make sure you get the care that your doctors prescribe.
- Laboratory and medical imaging technicians will perform the tests your doctors ordered for you.
- The pharmacist will be part of your care team to ensure the prompt availability of your medicine.
- Since the food you eat while healing is important, a clinical dietitian will visit you regularly to evaluate your diet and provide you with useful information.
- A physical therapist will help you with exercises designed to increase your strength, mobility and independence.
- Porters will transport you around the hospital by a wheel chair, a stretcher or a bed, and they will assist you if you are not able to walk on your own.
Beside your safety, meeting your expectations and ensuring your satisfaction is a responsibility we take seriously. Our quality department representatives will visit you on daily basis to ensure your voice is heard and to facilitate the resolution of concerns and complaints raised by you or your family.
4. Your rights as patient
Nini hospital recognizes that each patient is an individual with unique healthcare needs. As your caregivers, we are committed to respect, protect and promote your rights as a patient, and we will do our best to enable a process that will allow you to make the decisions that are best for you. We take it as our duty and privilege to explain your rights and responsibilities and assist you in exercising these rights.

5. Your discharge
On the day of your discharge, the billing department will contact your room as soon as all paperwork is ready. The settlement can be made in cash, credit cards or certified checks.
Nini hospital works to ensure your discharge is as smooth as possible:
- If you are going home, the nursing staff will provide you with all the discharge instruction and information on medication or treatment needed.
- If you are going to another facility, your physician will provide a detailed report on your status prior to discharge. Our nursing staff will arrange for transportation if needed.
6. Your medical record
Nini Hospital retains medical records for ten years. To obtain a copy of a medical record a request must be submitted in person to the archiving department or you can simply complete the form below.
Duplicates will be prepared within 24 hours.
On retrieval, please make sure you bring the identification card of the patient or a copy of it.
